Digital Banking Platform Revolut Rolls Out Crypto Staking for its Consumers in the UK and EEA

Revolut is a digital currency custodial services provider. The platform has introduced staking services for nominated cryptocurrencies such as ETH, XTZ, DOT, ADA, etc. The APR range set by Revolut is said to expand from a range of 2.99% to 11.65%. The platform is based in the UK and introduces itself as a neo-banking platform.

The platform claims to entertain around 25 million consumers around the world. The platform has now decided to introduce staking services for its consumers in the UK and European Economic Area or EEA. The latest report published by a media outlet in London has suggested that the staking is expected to debut in the ongoing week.

Revolut has been mentioned in media outlets on account of its new staking services. The media reports reveal that the platform is planning on offering a staking options for native currencies of Polkadot, Tezos, Cardano, and Ethereum 2.0. The yield mentioned by the Revolut management is healthy and bound to attract the attention of the allotted customer base that can avail of the offer.

Revolut to Lists more Cryptocurrencies on Its Platform

At present, the yield estimates shared by local media outlets are not confirmed or officiated by Revolut management.  During the last few years, Revolut has worked on expanding its circle of operation by listing more cryptocurrencies on its platform.

This forum started out offering only TradeFi products for online trading and switched to cryptocurrencies in 2017. At present, there are around 100 cryptocurrencies listed on the digital currency bank.

In addition to opening cryptocurrency services, the platform has also started a digital currency trading program titled Learn and Earn. This program offers different courses on several important topics and encourages investors to learn by offering rewards such as free crypto giveaways.

The platform was included in the list of accepted companies by the Financial Conduct Authority of the UK in 2022. There are some concerns about the ownership of cryptocurrency-related to Revolut. The new movement in DeFi encourages investors to prefer self-custodial wallets where they are in charge of the private keys to ensure better control and legal ownership.
